Bracker Fiske Consultants cooperate with artists, private and public collections, gallerists, and other art professionals to protect the integrity of their works of art. Our services include:

Audits: Bracker Fiske reviews artworks and/or collections. We identify their information or documentation gaps, and propose workable strategies for their resolution.

Description: We advise on, and produce, descriptions, certification, and instructions for new or recent works. Additionally, we research and prepare descriptions retroactively for works of art that have no previous documentation history, nor installation directions.

Installation/Dismantling/Reinstallation: Bracker Fiske records fabrication and installation processes for new works in written, photographic, or AV formats; details the dismantling of existing artworks; and oversees their subsequent recreation. We also clarify and resolve conceptual issues attending the re-siting of sculptures and installations.

Maintenance and Care: We prepare documentation that represents and communicates the artist’s wishes and recommendations regarding the longer-term maintenance and care of their works of art. In addition, we facilitate discussion and practical solutions for situations where questions such as material replacement and repair arise.

Professional Development Packages: Bracker Fiske welcomes the opportunity to work with professional individuals and groups engaged in the curation and care of contemporary art who wish to review or develop aspects of their practice. We organise ‘in-house’ sessions, or external events, tailored to your needs.

Workshops/Seminars/Symposia: We deliver innovative and topical collegial programmes to institutions and organisations that seek discursive forums addressing the collection, curation, and care of contemporary art, or that wish to promote their practice or research.

Referrals: For parties seeking conservation or legal advice services, we provide referrals to appropriate professionals.
